I have thought about and studied Mindset for a little bit for a little while and i have concluded that Mindset is an interesting phenomina, created by yourself, validated by yourself and can only be changed by yourself.

How then do we get others to change

I totally agree that some people have brilliant brains but only because of fear of failure or embarrasment could lead to freeze all ideas.

aha... but you fail to recognize in what you wrote that INNOVATION IS ALSO A MINDSET

so... the problem is not mindset, but rather potentially the nature or contents of limiting mindsets

Mindset is one of the biggest barriers to success, especially innovation. That is why I present so many mindset and thinking exercises on my blog. Much of what I talk about is profound and that just doesn't make it past the mental filters. If something is obvious yet its hard to find someone doing it the problem is mindset.

The methods I talk about give the user a structured way to think through a problem, that is a big help to get past the mindset problem. The process of learning a system of innovation causes different parts of your brain to work on the task. It literally changes your neurology.

Even with such powerful tools the biggest problem is getting people to learn the system in the first place. Inertia is huge. Fear of failure or embarrassment or simply the effort involved in change is often enough to cause people to hold on to flawed ideas even when the solution to their problems is a click away.
